Our beliefs
THE BIBLE
We believe the Bible is the living word Of God. It is infallible, authoritative, Everlasting, and is the foundation of all Christian doctrine. (2 Tim 3:16, Heb 4:12)
TRINITY
We believe in the Trinity: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. The three exist in community, And possess equal power and Authority. (Gen 1:26, 2 Cor 13:14)
THE FATHER
We believe that God is our Father. Being children of God, we will receive an inheritance of His love and grace. He is loving, compassionate and faithful to His people and His promises. (Rom 8:16–17, Gal 4:6–7)
THE SON
We believe Jesus Christ is the son of God. We believe in His virgin birth. His sinless life, His miracles, & his victorious and atoning death. We believe in His bodily resurrection, ascension to the Father’s right hand, constant intercession, and imminent return. (Matt 16:16, Matt 1:23, 2 Cor 5:21, Luke 24:6–7, Rom 8:34)
THE HOLY SPIRIT
We believe in the person and work of the Holy Spirit with his fruits and gifts available in the Church. We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit as a gift available to believers, subsequent to the new birth, with normal evidence of speaking in other tongues. (John 14:26, Acts 1:5, Acts 19:1–6, 2:4)
SALVATION
We believe that all have sinned and Fallen short of the glory of God. In the spiritually lost condition of all people, there is an essential need for the new
birth by faith in Jesus Christ. (Rom 3:23, John 3:3)
THE CHURCH
We believe the church is the hope of the world. The church is the community of believers gathered and scattered. The church unities to share the gospel and will fulfil her purpose. (Acts 2:46–47, Eph 4:11–13)
BAPTISM
We believe in water baptism by immersion in the name of the Eternal Godhead, as a fulfilment of the command of Christ. (Matt 3:16, Rom 6:4, Acts 8:38–39)
MARRIAGE
We believe in the Biblical view of marriage as between a man and a woman, as God aid it out from the beginning. We also believe That sex is for the marriage bed only. (Gen 2:24, Matt 19:4–6, Eph 5:31–33)
ETERNITY
We believe in heaven and hell. An acceptance of forgiveness and salvation through Christ’s finished work on the cross allows us to spend eternity with Him. (John 5:28–29, Rom 6:23, Eph 1:7)
IDENTITY
We believe that God does not make mistakes in creation and in identity. God designs with intent. That means, how you were born, as male or female, is the intention of God. (Psalm 139:13–14, Gen 1:27, Eph 2:10)
MAN
We believe that man is made in the image of God. Man was created to be in fellowship with God, however, sin has separated us from the Father. As a result, man cannot obtain the right standing with God through works. It is only through grace that we can be reconciled to the Father. (Is 59:2, Ro 3:20, Ep 2:8-9, Rom 5:8-10, 2 Cor 5:18-19)
Meet our
pastors
Sam and Grazia met in 2012 and married in 2014. Back then, Sam was the head of the music department in a primary school and Grazia was a piano teacher. They both attended and faithfully served in an Italian mission. Soon after, in 2017, God called them to take over the Mission and turn it into an English-speaking congregation now known as Living Church.
With just a few faithful Italian young people they founded a community based on Fellowship, Worship, Discipleship, Ministry and Outreach. Today, Living Church is an outgrowth church with people from all over the world serving Hayes Town in London.
Today, Sam is a full-time pastor, and Grazia is making use of her psychology degree to offer assistance to families. They have two beautiful daughters, Joy, Sophia and Emily, who are energetic and fun. Together they’re seeking to change lives in their community and make a significant impact.
